Saunders Park basketball court launches in Brighton

We were delighted to support the launch of the newly beautified court at Saunders Park Playground in Brighton yesterday, big thanks to all the Force family who came along to play and watch. Coaches Miguel, Matt and Samu helped out, and Coach Samuel Cricelli came along also GO FORCE!

Basketball England brought everyone together for this family focused day, and made sure as many people as possible could join with the donation of 100 fabulous Wilson basketballs. People of all ages picked up the balls and got busy on the court, enjoying the sunshine and fully appreciating this amazing court, designed and painted by local artist Lois O’Hara.

Nick Ansom from Project Backboard and Venice Ball   energised the entire player pack, doing a fantastic job as MC and playing also! We saw some of the most famous and experienced street ballers in the UK, who played alongside and encouraged local players in the mini 3v3 tournament.

Pete and Laura from Basketball England were kept busy all day, we know those 100 Wilson basketballs will be bouncing on courts in Brighton and beyond. #TogetherWeAreBasketball.
